UX Design & Development

USC TechOps

I designed and developed a mobile-first front end for USC Annenberg’s Zendesk ticketing system, making technical support easier to access across devices—especially for users aged 50 and older and people with low vision or limited computer literacy.

Context and challenge

Common requests needed to be easy to identify and submit on phones, tablets, and desktop computers. The interface also needed to remain clear for people who might find conventional support systems difficult to navigate.

Role and contribution

Through my studio, New Digital Services, I led the UI/UX design and development of the TechOps website.

Approach

I organized classroom support, computer help, internet, printer support, room temperature, and room access into clear, large-format categories. I connected each category to a focused request form and created a consistent responsive experience across phone, tablet, and desktop.

Outcome

I delivered an interface that enabled users to identify a support need and submit a Zendesk ticket in two clicks from any device.
