Workspace One XR Hub

Spatial computing was moving into enterprise environments before enterprise IT had a model for managing it. Workspace ONE XR Hub explored what it would take to make AR and VR devices secure, provisionable, and genuinely usable at scale.

The challenge

IT teams already knew how to secure laptops and phones. XR introduced a radically different interface without established patterns for identity, policy, or compliance. The challenge was to make headsets a trusted endpoint from the start, rather than bolt security on after deployment.

Designing a secure spatial workspace

As lead product designer, I shaped the operating model for XR within Workspace ONE. The concept translated identity, device management, and SASE security principles into a spatial environment—defining both the administrator control plane and the employee experience inside the headset.

The product concept

The walkthrough traces a complete lifecycle: enrolling a device, applying policy, entering a protected enterprise workspace, and doing real work within it. The goal was not merely to put enterprise software in a headset, but to make trust visible throughout the experience.

The outcome

The project established a point of view for treating XR as a managed enterprise endpoint: identity, policy, and control should move with people into spatial environments. It positioned Workspace ONE to meet enterprise adoption with a coherent experience rather than a retrofit.
