I helped evolve the Annenberg Digital Lounge website, bringing tutorials, events, and digital resources together for the USC Annenberg community. Version 1.0 launched in August 2014 and recorded more than 25,000 views in its first six months.
Context and challenge
That early traction created a strong foundation for a more discoverable and connected experience—one that could better connect online resources with support in the physical Digital Lounge.
Role and contribution
I served as Lead UI/UX Developer and worked with Nick Halsey, Erika Hang, and Courtney Miller on the Version 2.0 direction. I contributed UX and interface development as part of the broader USC project team.
Approach
We reviewed Version 1.0 analytics, gathered feedback from students and an Interactive Media Design course, and translated those findings into user personas, scenarios, and task flows. I helped turn those insights into information architecture, wireframes, a responsive interface, a visual system, and a WordPress publishing approach designed for contributors, authors, and editors.
Outcome
Our Version 2.0 concept put tutorial and event discovery at the center of the experience. Social commenting and live chat connected online resources with support in the physical Digital Lounge. The research, flows, wireframes, style guide, and interface designs below document the work.
